Datuk Hj Nawawi Bin Hj Ahmad

(1939 - 2021)

   Datuk Hj Nawawi was born in July 1939 and is the fourth of six siblings. He came from Paya Rumput, Malacca before migrating to Mecca, Saudi Arabia when he was a teenager after his father's death. While in Mecca, he continued his studies and worked part-time as a radio presenter.

   He is a graduate from the University of Glasgow, United Kingdom in the field of Political Science before serving as a representative for the Serkam constituency. Among his careers are as a Lecturer at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), KFC Public Affairs Advisor, and as a Takmir Teacher.

   As a certified takmir teacher, he has delivered religious lectures around the state of Malacca. He has also recorded part of his lecture in the form of a mini-cassette for reference, where it is now digitized for this podcast channel.
