Reaching Every Corner of Melaka

The program specifically targets rural communities, ensuring that even the most remote villages have access to immediate medical help. By recruiting volunteers from within each village, the program seeks to leverage local knowledge and build trust within the community.

Open to All, Empowering Everyone

Online registration for the program will begin in January 2024, and anyone interested in serving their community can apply. No prior medical experience is required, as volunteers will receive comprehensive training and equipment to handle various emergency situations effectively. This inclusive approach empowers individuals from all walks of life to become "community heroes" and make a real difference in people's lives.

Building a Safer, Healthier Melaka

The Community Paramedic program extends beyond rural areas, with plans to expand into tourist hotspots in conjunction with Visit Melaka Year 2024. This ensures that both residents and visitors can receive prompt medical attention during emergencies.

A Model for the Nation

Melaka is the first state in Malaysia to implement such a program, and its success is sure to inspire other states to follow suit. By equipping local communities with the skills and resources to handle emergencies, the program has the potential to revolutionize healthcare delivery in rural areas across the country.
